I'm calling this koa tenor “Side Stripe" because it has very stripy sides, but also because this is the first time I have purfling on the side of the uke as well as the top.
The tone is warm and sweet, as you would expect in a Koa tenor.
The back matches the front.
The center strip is East Indian rosewood that matches the binding.
The wood is so shiny that I had to turn it a little so I would get my refection in the uke.

The accents are a very pretty red Mallee burl.
I used black Gotoh tuners this time.

The neck is Honduran Mahogany with a carbon fiber truss rod.
The fingerboard and bridge are East African Ebony. Nut and saddle are natural water buffalo bone.

As I mentioned, the sides are very stripy, but also have a very attractive curl. There is a side sound port so the player can hear their music a little better.
You can see the side purfling if you click on the picture to make it bigger.

The rosette and purfling are Paua Abalone with thin black and white striping around the borders.
The mixed wood head stock has gone over quite well, so I did one on this uke as well.
