I am calling this my "Rustic Koa" tenor simply because that is the first word that came to mind as I was putting on the finish. This uke has such a sweet mellow sound with a lot of projection for an all Koa uke.
The Paua abalone rosette and purfling add a nice pop of color.
This is a picture of the back. This guy has a a lot of very delicate curl and some nice color variation.
The binding and the stripe down the center are East Indian rosewood.

The accents are Coolibah Burl. I was able to get a nice teardrop black accent on the backstrap this time.

The neck is Honduran Mahogany with a carbon fiber truss rod. The mahogany has just a faint little curl, which is kind of cool. The fingerboard and bridge are a dark brown East Indian rosewood as opposed to the more purplish color I sometimes use. Nut and saddle are natural bone.

As always, there is a side soundport. The sides match the top and back very nicely.

Here is a sound sample for this ukulele graciously done by Chad Silva. The song is "When You Wish Upon a Star". This is just a simple iPhone video with no amplification.
Chad is the store manager at Island Bazaar in Huntington Beach, CA, one of the largest ukulele stores in the state. As you can tell, he is quite a ukulele player.
